However, for many of us in the industry one answer is always true: workforce – the human capital manufacturers need to fuel business growth. Josh Cramer, senior educational program officer for the SME Education Foundation, talks about his experience working in education. TECHNOLOGY HELPS OGDEN-WEBER TECH COLLEGE FILL JOBS
 
 
 
Back in 2004, Ogden-Weber Tech College was an early adopter of online training as part of a blended learning program. Being ahead of the technology curve has paid off. Today, the school, located in northern Utah, serves 6,000 students annually. It offers 300 technical-skills courses in more than 40 employment categories and boasts a job placement rate of 94 percent. Learn more about Ogden-Weber Tech Center’s program here.
 
 
 
ACCEPTING SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS NOW.
 
 
 

The SME Education Foundation is still accepting scholarship applications for the 2016-17 academic year. The wide variety of scholarships provide financial support to students pursuing a degree in an engineering discipline closely related to manufacturing or a technology field of study associated with manufacturing. Here is a complete list of qualifying majors. The deadline to submit an application is Feb. 1.
